Information we may collect from you
The types of personal information we collect may include your title, first name, surname, your qualifications, work contact details (telephone, email address), and your GMC No. We may also collect information relating to your employment, including where you are currently employed, your job title, areas of interest/expertise and your job function if this is relevant to your subscription and the provision of our services.
Why we collect information
- We require this information to understand your needs, to support you in a professional capacity and provide you with a better service.
- We may periodically send promotional emails about new services, special offers or other information using the email address which you have provided, which we think you may find interesting.
- We may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes.
Maintaining the accuracy of data
You can correct or update the personal data we hold for you by editing your Personal Profile at www.medsu.org, or by contacting MEDSU by email [email protected].
Payments
MEDSU will request any payment transactions be conducted via the GoCardless or Stripe billing service and does not directly store any of your credit or debit card numbers or bank details. You should ensure that you are familiar with the independent Privacy Policy of any external sites.
Use and disclosure
Our policy is not to disclose any personal information that we hold on you to any unrelated third party, except where you have given your express consent for us to do so or where required by law.
Cookies on our site
A cookie is a text-only string of information that a website transfers to the cookie folder of the browser on your computer’s hard disk so that the website can remember who you are. Access to personal information (Freedom of Information Act)
You can seek access to the personal information we hold about you, by contacting us. You should include your name, address and telephone number. MEDSU may charge a fee for responding to an access request. If the information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, please inform us so that we can correct it.
