Established in 2012, G-Cloud is a UK Government initiative to support the adoption and growth of cloud technology across the public sector. Made available through the Digital Marketplace, G-Cloud is the go-to service for software development, hosting and consultancy services for UK Government and all public service sectors.

The G-Cloud framework offers the public sector, including healthcare, easy access to services from approved suppliers, providing public sector procurement teams and buyers peace of mind for their cloud software selection.

Public sector bodies can gain access to innovative SaaS technology through the Government’s digital marketplace portal of approved vendors, which now includes MEDSU and our governance compliance appraisal and revalidation digital platform for doctors, nurses and HCPCs, as well as other compliance and regulatory cloud-based products for the healthcare sector.

The benefits to public sector buyers include much lower cost of infrastructure, lower service overheads and significantly improved performance for compliance teams and the wider healthcare workforce.
